With the aim of developing and building programme and institutional capacities, as well as improving accessibility of adult education, DVV International - Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2018 supports the implementation of a project of the partner organisation ALDI Goražde with the title: „Assuring and increasing quality in adult education in the context of lifelong learning through creation of better conditions for implementation of adult education“.
Within the project, a training for occupations in wood industry has been implemented in cooperation with PI Vocational Secondary School „Džemal Bijedić“ Goražde for in total 31 participants in two groups. All participants have finished the training successfully and have been awarded a certificate on professional qualification for work. The certificate award for second group of participants was organised at the beginning of November in the school's premises.
Apart from the theoretic part which was completely realised in the school „Džemal Bijedić“, the training participants had a chance to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge through practical part of the training which was realised partially in the school, and partially in the premises of „FA“ company from Goražde.
This project makes the Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Goražde once again a good practice example when it comes to the local partnership. An intense cooperation of public, private and civil sector has enabled implementation of a number of training programmes in a short period, acquisition and improvement of knowledge, skills and competencies, in order to respond to the urgent needs of the labour market.
Some of the participants of the training have already found a job based on the competencies gained, and one can expect this number to be even higher in the future especially if we consider the needs of local companies for this profile of labour, particularly the needs of the „FA“ company.
The project also envisages the elaboration and verification of two adult education programmes from the field of IT sector, as well as the registration of the ALDI Goražde as an adult education provider and entering the register of providers in the Ministry of Education.
