DVV International - Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina continues with the implementation of basic adult education trainings. After the Law on Adult Education was adopted in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton in March 2018, this-year's first training was organised in Mostar on 25th-27th of June, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of this canton.
Basic adult education trainings are created for teaching staff from public educational institutions and other accredited adult education providers, in order to offer them an extension of current and acquisition of new knowledge about psychological basics and types of work with adults, didactical and methodical settings of learning and teaching, and possibilities for application of certain methods and working forms in educational work with adult learners.
Within this three-day training, 19 participants from secondary vocational and technical schools from Mostar had an opportunity to learn also about diverse learning styles, communication and interaction in adult education, types of visualisation and presentation in educational work with adults, interactive methods, as well as about interactive education, group dynamics and management of educational group.
This training, implemented by trainers Doc Dr Perica Ivanek and Ms Svjetlana Tubić, prof., contributes to development of staff’s competencies and acquisition of andragogical principles. Realisation of these trainings is also in accordance with the adopted legal framework in the field of adult education and directly contributes to higher quality of implementation of laws on adult education and by them prescribed andragogical development of teaching staff.
