Within the multiannual cooperation of DVV International - Country Office B&H and Faculty of Philosophy of University of Sarajevo, students of the third year of Department for Pedagogy visited today DVV International as a part of their andragogical (adult education) practice.
As DVV International is a professional organization that supports development of structures as well as individuals and tends to ensure sustainability of the adult education system, andragogical direction of young people, students is of great importance for the organization. Director of the Office, Mr Dr.Sc. Emir Avdagić, thereby, in his speech and conversation with the students, talked about the state of adult education in B&H and the region, but also about the global and European perspectives for development of adult education. Students also had a chance to get to know the objectives, mission and working manner of DVV International in our country closer based on the examples of project performance in the country.
In the discussion, they showed major interest for possibilities of further specialization in the field of adult education, strategic directions of development of this field in B&H, as well as for providing a professional support and help in elaborations of project research ideas in this field. At the end of the visit, students got promotional gifts and professional adult education publications, and DVV International also offered them a possibility of using its professional library.
This-year's visit was organised in the Lifelong Learning Center of PI Cultural Center of Sarajevo Canton which was established in 2017 with a significant professional and financial support of DVV International. Afterwards, students visited the office of DVV International - Country Office B&H and met the members of B&H project team.
DVV International began its work in Bosnia and Herzegovina in June 2000.
