In 2017 DVV International - Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Ministry of education, science and youth of Sarajevo Canton, implemented the training „Management in Education“ for managers of primary and secondary schools and adult education centres located in this canton.
The training consisted of three two-day modules and individual work at the assigned problem.
On the first training module, participants learn about the basics of management in education, its basic functions (planning, organizing, leading and control), as well as the types and models of management.
The second module allows participants to increase their knowledge and skills from the field of leadership and marketing in education.
With the aim of further managerial development of participants, the last module is dedicated to the topics of quality in education and analysing own management practices of participants based on the individual work they have done after the second module.
Before 2017, the training had been organized three times:
Implementers of the training are: Prof Dr Šefika Alibabić and Doc Dr Jovan Miljković from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade.
The aim of the training is professionalization in education through development of educational institutions' managers' competencies, necessary for proper management of the institution and thus contribution to the higher effectiveness, efficiency and quality of educational process and the whole education system.

Duration: 3 modules (36 classes + 8 hours of individual work)
