Director of DVV International - Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr Emir Avdagić, PhD, yesterday, on 21st of May, held a meeting with the newly appointed Minister of Education, Youth, Science, Culture and Sport of Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Goražde, Mr Arman Bešlija. In accordance with the annual plan of activities of DVV International for 2019, an Agreement on Cooperation with the Ministry was singed at the meeting.
Since the adoption of the Law on Adult Education in May 2015, Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Goražde has made significant moves forward in regulating this field. Particular progress has been achieved recently by adopting the strategy on adult education of BPC Goražde „Education for the following age“, and by networking all key actors and establishing an intensive cooperation with employers from this canton.
Appreciating the efforts, the Ministry has made together with its partners in developing adult education system, DVV International included this type of cooperation as a good practice example in the international publication published for the 50th anniversary of DVV International. Support to the activities of improving adult education system in this canton will, of course, continue in the future.
The signed Agreement envisages activities of introducing the software for monitoring and quality assurance in the field of adult education in the canton, capacity building of employees of the ministry through participation in two trainings from the fields relevant for their operations in adult education, and organisation of a round table on the topic „Accreditation of adult education providers and networking in adult education”.
The meeting was organised in Goražde, and besides the Minister Bešlija, was also attended by Mr Amir Duhović, professional adviser and contact person for adult education.
