DVV International - Country Office for BiH continuously implements the activity "Basic Adult Education Training" and this year it was realized in Sarajevo Canton and West Herzegovina County/Canton in cooperation with relevant institutions. At the beginning of October, a new cycle of training began in the Canton of Sarajevo in cooperation with the Adult Education Institution "New Occupations", while the second cycle is being conducted for the second year in a row in the West Herzegovina County/Canton in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
In both cycles, participants followed education on the development of programs for adult education through a series of modules. Supervision – V training module, included in both cycles, was intended to summarize the knowledge acquired through the previous modules, providing participants with the opportunity to demonstrate their skills through presentations on selected topics. In the Sarajevo Canton, the supervision was conducted by respected professors Šefika Alibabić from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade and Amina Isanović Hadžiomerović from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Sarajevo, while in the West Herzegovina Canton it was Prof. Ph.D. Šefika Alibabić and Assoc. Ph.D. Perica Ivanek.
The participants were assigned to coaching pairs and covered various andragogic topics, including motivation and obstacles in adult learning, conflict resolution in the educational group, integration of interactive methods in teaching, use of digital tools and evaluation of the teaching process. After the end of the supervision, the participants were ceremoniously presented with publicly valid certificates.
This successful training program demonstrates DVV International's commitment to improving adult education throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, providing teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to develop quality educational programs tailored to the needs of adult learners.
DVV International began its work in Bosnia and Herzegovina in June 2000.
