Study trip to Croatia
DVV International – Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with the Croatian Agency for Vocational Education, Training and Adult Education organised a study trip to Zagreb (Croatia) from 27th to 31st of March 2017.
The visit was based on the existing cooperation and the needs of relevant ministries of education and was organized after previous study visits, especially visits to Germany in 2014 and to Slovenia in September 2015, had showed very successful and contributed to the better and faster regulation of adult education in B&H.
The aim of the study visit was to get to know the adult education system in Republic of Croatia so the participants can use their new acquired knowledge and skills to contribute to the better implementation of the laws on adult education in their areas, to the development of quality in adult education and in general to systematic and more harmonized regulation of this field in B&H.
More than 20 representatives of educational ministries from four cantons of Federation of B&H (Zenica-Doboj Canton, Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Goražde, West Herzegovina Canton, Sarajevo Canton) and from Brčko District participated in the study visit including four cantonal ministries and head of Department for Education in the Government of Brčko District.
During the visit, the group had meetings with representatives of the following institutions: Agency for Vocational Education and Adult Education, Ministry of Science and Education of Republic of Croatia, Agricultural School Zagreb, Croatian Employers Association, Croatian Chamber of Economy, Ministry of Labour and Pension System of Republic of Croatia, Croatian Employment Office and Open University „Algebra“.
