The IT industry is one of the most perspective economic sectors globally. At the same time, Europe faces a significant lack of qualified labour in the field, which slows down companies' digital transformation. Hence, DVV International - Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina and Center for Education and Research "Nahla" joined their efforts in 2020 to secure "new power of the IT industry" and provide new employment opportunities for unemployed women.
Developing digital skills is also one of the most important priorities in Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Goražde, so the Association for Local Development Initiatives ALDI in 2020 developed a training program on "Internet of Things" and implemented it with support from the DVV International for 10 unemployed young people.
DVV International began its work in Bosnia and Herzegovina in June 2000.
