Increasing Competencies of Employees of Companies from Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Goražde

In cooperation with the partner organisation Public Institution (PI) Secondary Vocational School "Džemal Bijedić", DVV International - Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina implements the project "Increasing competencies of employees of companies in Bosnia-Podrinje Canton (BPC) Goražde".

PI Secondary Vocational School „Džemal Bijedić“ Goražde is one of the leading educational institutions in the field of re-training and adult education in Federation of B&H. Numerous programmes and projects, implemented in collaboration with governmental and non-governmental organisations, speak for its success and quality. Training courses and training curricula are the result of productive cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth, Science, Culture and Sport of BPC Goražde. One of the school’s objectives is for its adult education programmes to respond appropriately to the needs of the labour market and employers, as well as to maintain the continuous cooperation of the Ministry, the school, employers, the cantonal Economic Chamber and Employment Agency.

As the technology for production and processing of tools in Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Goražde is well developed, it is also necessary to develop programmes and organise training of employees for the use of specialised computer programmes. Therefore, the project seeks to improve employees' competencies for utilisation of computer programmes for tool construction.

Within the project activities the school will organise meetings with representatives of several companies with the aim of conducting more detailed needs analysis and selection of participants. Furthermore, two training programmes will be developed, namely for the use of computer programmes SolidWorks i Catia V5. These are two of the most frequently used computer-aided programmes for 3D modelling of parts and systems, simulations and testing before production. Manuals for both programmes will be created and used by the participants during the training courses. One training will be conducted during the implementation period as an added value of the project.
