By carefully listening to the needs of ministries of education in those administrative units that have regulated the field of adult education legally, but also in the two remaining who are still in the process of adoption of the law, and with the aim of improving the framework conditions for adult education, DVV International – Country Office B&H in 2018 organises two meetings/workshops on the topic „Laws and Regulation in the Field of Adult Education“.
First meeting was held on 25th and 26th of October in Tarčin, and the participants were legal associates and contact persons for adult education within ministries of education in, in total, 8 cantons of the Federation of B&H, as well as from Republic of Srpska.
The aim of the meeting was to review the situation and analyse needs with regards to the adopted laws and regulation and their so-far implementation in practice, and it was operationalised through interactive methods of group work and comparative analysis of laws and regulation from all administrative units.
As a result, numerous fields defined differently in different areas were detected, as well as fields whose implementation showed that they are not appropriate or clear enough. These fields and their changes and harmonisation will be one of the topics of discussions of the second meeting of this working group.
For the purpose of implementation of this meeting, as well as, in order to secure better accessibility to the adopted regulations in future, DVV International – Country Office B&H has prepared a set of all adopted laws and regulation until now, both hard copies and electronic form which will be available online soon.
The second meeting will be held on 22nd and 23rd of November in Jahorina, and final conclusions and recommendations for improvement of the regulations and their implementation will be elaborated afterwards.
