Strengthening human resources within ministries of education and departments responsible for implementation, monitoring and developing the field of adult education is one of the focuses of DVV International in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the first training in 2019 for this target group was held in Zenica, from 26th to 28th of June.
The three-day training for adult education associates included three different thematic areas necessary for appropriate planning, coordination, control and continuous development of adult education.
The thematic areas cover basic andragogical concepts and history of adult education, competencies, roles and tasks of an adult education associate, cross-sectoral cooperation and working processes in adult education, lobbying for adult education, modern business communication and cooperation with media with special accent to the promotion of adult education.
Training includes in total 24 classes, and the innovative concept was implemented by the trainers:
- Ms Prof.Dr. Lejla Turčilo, Professor from the Faculty of Political Sciences of University of Sarajevo - Department: Communicology;
- Mr Doc.Dr. Perica Ivanek, Doctor of Pedagogy, multiplier in the field of adult education,
- Ms Svjetlana Tubić, MA, Master of Andragogy, multiplier in the field of adult education.
Implementation of the training is part of the Agreement on Cooperation signed with the ministries of education from Una-Sana Canton, Zenica-Doboj Canton, Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Goražde, Sarajevo Canton, and District Brčko B&H.
