With the aim of enhancing mutual cooperation among all administrative units in Bosnia and Herzegovina, DVV International – Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina organized the 16th meeting of contact persons for adult education.
This gathering brought together representatives of the competent ministries to jointly consider current developments, challenges, and opportunities in the field of adult education.
The meeting served as a platform for the exchange of information and experiences, as well as for initiating dialogue on future activities that could contribute to the development and improvement of the adult education system in BiH.
Participants had the opportunity to present initiatives from their respective regions and, through constructive discussions, identify common needs and potential directions for action.
A special focus of the meeting was on strengthening the capacities of contact persons through a two-day workshop dedicated to project proposal writing.
The aim of the workshop was to familiarize participants with the opportunities and importance of project funding in the field of adult education.
The workshop covered the following thematic areas:
• Opportunities for securing financial resources in adult education in BiH – an overview of available funding sources and application procedures;
• Strategic and opportunistic approaches to project development – how to align project ideas with strategic documents and current opportunities;
• Core components of a project – structure of a project proposal, objectives, activities, results, and indicators;
• Project budget: The foundation of financial planning and accountability – creating a realistic and sustainable budget;
• Project proposal evaluation process – criteria and methods for project assessment.
The workshop was facilitated by Adnan Mević, fundraiser at DVV International and external funding consultant for the International Council for Adult Education.
Through practical exercises and group work, participants developed their own project ideas, supported by mentorship and feedback.
The 16th meeting of contact persons for adult education once again confirmed the importance of continuous dialogue, experience sharing, and joint action among all stakeholders in the adult education system.
Through the project writing workshop, participants were empowered to actively engage in the development and implementation of initiatives that contribute to lifelong learning and social development.
DVV International – Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to support all partners in this process, with the goal of building an inclusive, high-quality, and sustainable adult education system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
