In cooperation with the Ministry of Upbringing and Education of Sarajevo Canton, and the Center for Education, Development and Research of the Pedagogical Faculty of University of Sarajevo, DVV International – Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina organised the first module of the publicly recognised program „Basic adult education training“ on 8-9 June 2021.
The program „Basic adult education training“, which will be implemented continuously from June to November 2021, is intended for the institutions and organisations in adult education willing to secure or enhance their trainers' skills level to fulfil a minimum of professional standards. Besides the first module entitled „Adult learning - psychological basics, characteristics, learning styles“, the program covers three more topics/modules:
- Communication, group dynamics, and managing educational group;
- Visualisation and presentation in educational work with adults; and
- Interactive methods of adult education.
The program of 120 teaching hours also includes individual independent learning and practical work with mentorship and group work – demonstration of skills and supervision at the very end of the training.
This year's training is organised for 21 participants, including teachers of secondary vocational schools and faculty professors entered into the Register of adult education providers in Sarajevo Canton and representatives of non-governmental organisations accredited for adult education by the competent ministry.
The trainer at the first module was Prof. Dr. Šefika Alibabić, Full Professor at the Department for Andragogy of Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade.
