Basic Adult Education training is a publicly recognized training in six cantons in Bosnia and Herzegovina.It includes five modules, of which four modules are intended for the learning and acquisition of andragogic competences of the participants under the guidance of eminent lecturers from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, and the fifth module - supervision, gives the participants a chance to present the knowledge acquired up to that point in a coaching pair.
The training consists of 120 working hours, which, in addition to the aforementioned modules, include independent research work by the participants. Upon completion of the training, participants receive a publicly valid certificate of andragogical competence for working with adults. The implementation of the training is a product of cooperation between DVV International – Country Office in BiH and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Una-Sana Canton.
Last week, 9 trainer pairs delivered their dynamic and interesting presentations, covering the following topics:
- Motives and barriers in adult education
- Conflict resolution in educational groups
- Types of activities in interactive teaching
- Non-verbal communication in adult education
- Integration of interactive methods in adult education
- Stereotypes and prejudices as a factor in adult participation in the educational process
- The role of teachers in adult education: pedagogy/andragogy
- Digital tools in adult education and the "new normal"
- Group dynamics and managing group dynamics
The supervisors for this module were experts in the field of andragogy, Prof. Dr. Šefika Alibabić and Assist. Prof. Dr. Amina Isanović Hadžiomerović.
At the end of the supervision, publicly valid certificates were awarded. On behalf of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Una-Sana Canton, the head of the department for secondary and adult education, Damir Redžić, addressed the attendees.
The Una-Sana Canton has become richer by 18 andragogically trained participants, who we believe will use all the acquired knowledge and tools in their future work.
