Completion of the " EU Project Development Academy" Training Cycle for Adult Education Organizers in Sarajevo Canton Crowned with a Ceremony

The cycle of publicly valid training "EU Project Development Academy", which was implemented by the Center for the Promotion of Civil Society - CPCD in cooperation with DVV International - Country Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Cantonal Chamber of Commerce, was successfully completed. The training, which lasted from March to May 2024, ended with the ceremonial awarding of publicly valid certificates and certificates of participation at the end of last week.

Key figures of the training addressed the participants, starting with Aida Daguda, Director of CPCD, Dženita Džano, Director of DVV International – Country Office for BiH, Lejla Halkić, Director of the Center for Education and IT Affairs, and extending to the trainers who conducted the training. Given that over €650,000,000 in donor funds arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina last year, the training focused on strengthening the competencies of adult education providers in Sarajevo Canton in developing EU projects. This is crucial for increasing success in attracting donor funds from the European Union, thus opening up new opportunities for program enhancement, equipment acquisition, and organizer promotion.

We remind you that the participants, through the training which lasted a total of 120 hours (60 hours of classroom instruction and 60 hours of home study), acquired valuable skills and knowledge in preparing EU projects, with mentoring support during six months after the training. The curriculum was divided into three main segments:

1. Methods and techniques for qualitative and technical preparation of project proposals;

2. Writing and developing project proposals according to EU standards;

3. Budget preparation and application of EU financial procedures.

The trainers included experienced experts in the field of EU project writing and implementation, such as Aida Daguda, Adnan Mević, Lejla Mijović, and Dajana Cvjetković, who generously shared their knowledge and best practices with the participants.

The training was attended by representatives of various organizations, including the Secondary School of Traffic and Communications, the Adult Education Institution "New Occupations," UNSA Faculty of Philosophy, the Chamber of Commerce of Sarajevo Canton, the Secondary Geodetic School, Dizart d.o.o. - Dizart Educational Workshop Branch, the Nahla Center for Education and Research, SC "Hadžići," the Citizens' Association "Something More," and Centrotrans d.d.

This training is just the first step in strengthening the capacities of adult education organizers to attract funds from EU programs, thus contributing to their competitiveness and sustainability. We look forward to the future successes of all participants and organizations involved!
