After publishing the Global curriculum for adult learning and education „Curriculum GlobALE“ in 2013, DVV International started to develop a systematic guideline to strengthening adult education centers (AEC) worldwide.
Part of the guidelines should be a toolkit with instruments and approaches that have proven to be effective and successful in various project and partner countries of DVV International in developing key performances of adult education centers.
Therefore, Regional Office of DVV International for Eastern Neighbours organised a summer academy in Ukraine from 18th-21st of June with the aim of defining a framework for elaboration of the toolkit based on exchanging experiences, good practice examples and documents that proved to be successful in capacity-building of adult education centers.
Participants of the academy were 25 experts, trainers and representatives of DVV International offices from the region of Eastern Neighbours, Caucasus, Southeast Europe and Central Asia. Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina in this academy were director of DVV International - Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr Emir Avdagić, PhD, and project assistant, Mr Anes Čerkez.
The toolkit for capacity building of adult education centers will be finished by the end of 2018 and will contain specific models, practices and documents such as sample strategies, plans and concepts of workshops and trainings, instructions for needs analysis, criteria for monitoring of teaching process, financing models, etc.
