We are pleased to share that today, 17th of July, the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between DVV International and the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo, took place at the Dean's Office. This event marks the culmination of a long-standing successful collaboration in the field of adult education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Memorandum was signed by prof. Kenan Šljivo Ph.D., the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo, and Dženita Džano, the Director of DVV International – Country Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the presence of colleagues from the Department of Pedagogy.
Andragogy, as a scientific discipline, is studied at the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of Philosophy, with the aim of further development and specialization. Therefore, it is necessary to establish institutional cooperation with key partners in adult education. The Memorandum envisions collaboration in joint activities such as:
- implementation of practical and field exercises related to the subjects of Andragogy Fundamentals and Adult Education;
- support for research by teaching staff and students for the preparation of final papers and dissertations;
- contribution to the development of the adult education system through the provision of expert opinions and proposals;
- organization and implementation of specific educational programs aimed at developing andragogical competencies;
- organization and realization of scientific and professional conferences dedicated to discussing andragogical topics, and more.
We look forward to future collaboration and supporting the development of andragogy as a scientific discipline, the enhancement of adult education as an integral part of the educational system, and the joint creation of developmental initiatives, programs, and activities.
