After successfully implementing the training „Strengthening Capacities of Local Partnership in Adult Education“ in Brčko District BiH, the same was implemented for relevant actors in adult education in Sarajevo Canton on 16-17 February to establish and develop partner relations in this field.
Participants of the training were representatives of the Ministry of Upbringing and Education, PI Employment Office, Chamber of Economy, Association of Employers, and representatives of secondary schools, adult education centers and non-governmental organisations.
As one of the results, the participants expressed willingness to sign a Memorandum on Cooperation which would define the strategic role and directions of joint operations of the partners in adult education in Sarajevo Canton.
Various institutions implementing adult education or being responsible for adult education in Brčko District BiH are also very close to signing such a memorandum. One of the first joint steps of the non-formal network could be applying for the European Union or other donors' project funds.
Therefore, training on the topic „Preparation of Project Proposals“ was organised on 23-24 February for the potential network members. The main objective was to strengthen partnership members' capacities for the preparation and implementation of projects that contribute to economic and social development with a particular accent on those that contribute to adult education and employment.
The training was led by Ms Emina Pašić, trainer/facilitator with a longstanding experience in implementing training on preparation of project proposals.
„Establishing networks of governmental and non-governmental actors in the field of adult education“ is a project of the Association for Local Development Initiatives ALDI and DVV International – Country Office BiH, being implemented with the financial support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
