DVV International - Country Office B&H continues the implementation of lobbying activities for adoption of Law on Adult Education, as well as for its better implementation in the areas where it has been already adopted. Because of that, director of Country Office B&H, Emir Avdagić, PhD held meetings with responsible ministries in Una-Sana Canton, Posavina Canton and Canton 10.
In Canton 10, Law on Adult Education has been adopted in January 2017, so the subject of the meeting with the Minister of Science, Education, Culture and Sport, Mr. Petar Galić, was upcoming cooperation on development of the adult education system and joint activities that should be implemented as a response to the needs of this ministry.
Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Posavina Canton, Mr. Mario Pejić, presented the process of adoption of Law on Adult Education to DVV International representatives, and expressed hope to finish the process by the summer 2017. The adoption of this law opens plenty of possibilities for cooperation of the ministry and DVV International was also one of the conclusions of the meeting.
In Una-Sana Canton, Law on Adult Education has been adopted in 2013, so Mr. Avdagić discussed the possibilities of its changes and amendments, activities of implementation, and other possibilities for further cooperation, with Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of this canton, mr.sc. Muhamed Ramić.
With the adoption of the remaining laws on adult education in Posavina Canton, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and Brčko District, the process of legal regulation of adult education in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be finished.
