DVV International – Country Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with its partners, the Center for Education and Research NAHLA and the Association Sara Srebrenica, within the project "From Empowerment to Change – Ambassadors of Women's Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina", funded by the European Union, announces:

PUBLIC CALL FOR PARTICIPATION IN WORKSHOPS ON WOMEN’S ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL RIGHTS

We invite women from the Una-Sana Canton, aged 25 to 70, to apply for participation in educational workshops on women's economic and social rights. Become local ambassadors and advocates for women's rights in your communities.

The program is designed to provide knowledge, tools, and support necessary to strengthen the economic and social rights of women from vulnerable groups. It includes education, psychosocial support, and opportunities for practical engagement in the local community.

The goal is to empower women through workshops, mentorship, and networking to recognize and exercise their rights, become leaders in their communities, and contribute to building a society where women's rights are equally protected and respected.

WORKSHOP STRUCTURE

The workshops will be conducted by experts in psychology, sociology, law, and pedagogy who have successfully completed specialized training to lead this program.

The program consists of nine workshops, each lasting four academic hours (45 minutes per session), through which participants will:

  • Gain knowledge about their rights and learn how to exercise them;
  • Develop self-confidence and critical thinking;
  • Become familiar with international norms, standards, and national legal frameworks;
  • Get opportunities for practical engagement in their communities;
  • Join a network of women leaders contributing to the creation of a more equal society.

Workshop participants will also have access to free psychological counseling, if needed, as part of their personal development support.

STUDY VISIT TO SARAJEVO

The program includes a one-day study visit to Sarajevo, fully covered by the project, where participants will have the opportunity to visit organizations working on women’s empowerment, exchange ideas, and learn from successful initiatives.

BECOMING A LOCAL AMBASSADOR OF WOMEN’S RIGHTS

Through additional education and mentorship, seven participants from the Una-Sana Canton will be selected to become local ambassadors of women’s rights, who will implement projects in their communities, working with young people, with ongoing education and support from mentors and experts.
