The regular, 11th meeting of contact persons for adult education within relevant institutions was held on 11th and 12th of April in Brčko in organisation of DVV International and the Department for Education of the Government of District Brčko B&H.
Participants of the meeting were representatives of seven administrative units: Una-Sana Canton, Zenica-Doboj Canton, Tuzla Canton, Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Goražde, Sarajevo Canton, Republic of Srpska and District Brčko. The meeting was opened by the Head of the Department, Mr Senad Osmanović, and the director of DVV International - Country Office B&H, Dr. Emir Avdagić.
Apart from the regular exchange of information on news and events in the field of adult education in every single administrative unit, two key topics were discussed during this meeting:
- introducing the software for monitoring and quality assurance in the field of adult education, and
- role of a department/assistant for adult education in the process of quality assurance and improvement in adult education.
Finally, the participants concluded that assuring a quality implementation of legal framework in the field of adult education is necessary in all administrative units and is achievable only by using common approach, acting together and allocating human and financial resources appropriately in accordance with the adopted regulation.
The next meeting will take place in Una-Sana Canton in December 2019.
