As part of the activities that DVV International and the Association for Local Development Initiatives ALDI are implementing to establish networks of governmental and non-governmental actors in the field of adult education, a two-day training entitled „Strengthening Capacities of Local Partnership in Adult Education in Brčko District B&H“ was held on 9th and 10th of February in Brčko.
The training objective was to empower partnerships' capacities in preparing projects that contribute to the economic and social development with particular accent on those contributing to employment to secure long-term and sustainable operations of the partnership.
Participants of the training were representatives of the Government of Brčko District, Pedagogical Institution of Brčko District, Employment Office of Brčko District, Association of Employers of Brčko District, educational institutions, and NGOs. The training was led by Ms Melisa Gazdić, trainer/facilitator with long-standing experience in the provision of trainings for local partnerships.
In the upcoming period, the local partnership members will sign a Memorandum on Cooperation to define a strategic role and directions of joint operations of partners in adult education in Brčko District B&H.
Besides the partnership in Brčko District, DVV International and the Association of Local Development Initiatives ALDI have been actively working on establishing a local partnership in Sarajevo Canton, and strengthening the partnership in adult education in Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Goražde. Cross-sectoral cooperation is the main change driver and a vital factor in Western education systems' success.
