We had the honor of hosting representatives of the Association of Folk Universities of Slovenia (Zveza ljudskih univerz Slovenije – ZLUS), a non-governmental and non-profit organization that brings together 22 folk universities from across Slovenia. These institutions are key actors in the field of adult education, with a rich tradition and modern approaches to lifelong learning.
ZLUS is actively committed to strengthening the role of its members, promoting lifelong education, and developing andragogical practices in line with European strategic directions. Through cooperation with numerous domestic and international partners, ZLUS contributes to improving the quality of adult education and building a knowledge-based society.
The visit began with a tour of one of our partner organizations – CEI Nahla. Today, DVV International – Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina had the pleasure of hosting our esteemed guests. Director Dženita Džano presented the work of our office, followed by a constructive discussion on the state and challenges of adult education in both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia.
Such visits are a valuable opportunity for exchanging experiences, sharing good practices, and strengthening mutual cooperation. We look forward to future meetings and continued joint initiatives that contribute to the development of adult education in the region and beyond.
