The study visit began with a presentation by the director of DVV International, Ms. Dženita Džano. Our esteemed guests from the Association of Educational and Advisory Centers of Slovenia (Združenje izobraževalnih in svetovalnih središč Slovenije), under the leadership of President Maja Radinović Hajdič, came from various places in Slovenia (Tolmin, Jasenica, Žalec, Gradec, Ljubljana, Novo mesto, Nova Gorica, Krško, Zasavlje). On the same day, after the presentation of the work of DVV International, they also learned about the work of the "Nova zanimanja" Adult Education Institution and the Center for Education and Research "Nahla."
On the second day of the visit, the guests spent their time in the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton of Goražde. They were welcomed by Minister Ms. Adisa Alikadić Herić, Prime Minister Mr. Edin Ćulov, and our contact person for adult education Mr. Amir Duhović in front of the Ministry of Education, Youth, Science, Culture, and Sports. Through a presentation by representatives of the Ministry, our Slovenian guests gained insight into the adult education system at the cantonal level. After this part of the visit, they also visited adult education service providers - the Association for Local Development Initiatives(ALDI) and the Vocational Secondary School "Džemal Bijedić." It was also an excellent opportunity to visit the Monumental Rovovi excursion site, where they touched upon the not-so-distant past and the experiences of the local inhabitants.
The third day was marked by a two-way presentation. First, the esteemed Doc. Dr. Amina Isanović Hadžiomerović and Prof. Dr. Mirjana Mavrak, along with their students, presented their work in the field of adult education. Afterward, the guests presented the work of the Association ZiSSS to the students of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Sarajevo. The visit to the Ministry of Civil Affairs was also very informative, expanding the discussion of adult education from the cantonal to the national level. We must emphasize the willingness of Assistent of Minister Mr. Adnan Husić and Ms. Aida Džaferović to ensure our guests had a pleasant stay with a wealth of information to enrich their visit. The end of the third day was crowned by a visit to the Smart Center - the Center for the Promotion of Civil Society (CPCD), where our guests were warmly welcomed, just as in previous visits.
A somewhat different visit marked the beginning of the fourth day when they visited the Center for Healthy Aging in Novo Sarajevo. The atmosphere there left the guests impressed, and the same spirit continued with the visit to the Ministry of Education of the Sarajevo Canton. Excellent hosts from the Ministry were Assistent of Minister Ms. Lamija Husić and our contact person Ms. Olivera Hasković. The guests could approach this visit from a comparative perspective as they had previously heard about the processes carried out in another canton. The day ended with a tour of the beauties offered by the capital of our country.
On the last day of the visit, after gaining numerous new experiences, forming friendships, and acquiring information that is yet to be processed, it was time to fully enjoy the beauty of our homeland. The first stop after Sarajevo was Konjic and the well-known Museum of Woodcarving. Then they headed to Jablanica, where they visited the Museum of the Battle for Wounded. The rest of the day was perfect for enjoying the beautiful city of Mostar, and before returning, it was obligatory to visit Blagaj and the Tekija, an essential part of all tourist tours.
We can confidently say that this visit has strengthened the partnership and friendship between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia. We hope that this visit is just one in a series of visits where we look forward to being hosts and generating ideas to enrich our team's knowledge of adult education from our neighboring Slovenia.
