The all-day event „Germany in Bosnia and Herzegovina“, for the first time organised in December 2016 in Dom mladih Skenderija, this year will be organised on 4th October in newly opened Mikser House Sarajevo. The organisers are, the same as last year, Delegation of German Economic Affairs in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with support of other German organizations, institutions and companies operating in this country.
Germany is one of the most important political partners of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a prominent partner in the field of language and culture. Until now, German Federal Government has invested more than 1 billion Euro for the reintegration and development of B&H what makes it one of the biggest foreign donors. With the annual goods trade of 1.7 billion Euro, it is also the most important trading partner and one of the main investors in B&H. It is well known that Germany is highly engaged in this country, but what is less known is how various that engagement actually is.
Because of that, the German organizations in B&H will get together again on 4th of October and present their activities to all visitors of the event. Besides the Delegation of German Economic Affairs in B&H, and the German Embassy, the visitors will have a chance to find out more about the work of DAAD, GIZ, DVV International, Goethe Institute, KFW, Deutsche Tourismus Zentrale, and Messe München International, as well as of the foundations Friedrich Ebert, Konrad Adenauer, and Heinrich Böll, and also about the work of nongovernment organizations in B&H supported by Germany.
Premium partners of the event are Kakanj Cement, Mann+ Hummel and Veritas. Other German companies which operate in B&H, as well as German brands known to a number of domestic customers because of their quality, will also take part in this event.
There will be even more attractions, such as a presentation of new Volkswagen, kids program, quiz, and surprise guests. The event will last from 10 to 15 o'clock and the entrance is free.
