The journal „Adult Education“, this year celebrating the 18th anniversary of publishing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, celebrates the jubilee with an important step forward: from this year the journal is included in the Central and Eastern European Online Library.
Including the journal in the CEEOL database will contribute to greater international visibility of authors and their research efforts, as well as, enhance the quality of the journal itself.
The journal is the only printed publication in Bosnia and Herzegovina treating issues such as education, learning and training of adults in terms of lifelong learning. The main objective of the journal is improvement of adult education theory and practice in the country and beyond so the journal's content covers different fields of adult education, from the primary education of adults and literacy, professional development, education for a family life, culture, politics, active citizenship, popular and liberal education, to the university topics on adult education.
It provides a space for authors from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region (experts from the fields of pedagogy, adult education, education management, psychology, political sciences, sociology, communication, social work, etc.) to publish their works and research results on the above-mentioned areas. It is intended to be used by the academic community (teachers, students, researchers), personnel dealing with adult education in formal, non-formal and informal education, and to other people interested in education based on andragogical principles and their application in practice.
This publication is being issued twice a year, each printed in 300 copies and distributed free of charge to the professional and wider public in Bosnia and Herzegovina and South East Europe.
Publishers of the journal are Bosnian Cultural Center and DVV International - Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina.
