In the upcoming period, the partner organizations of DVV International - Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina will be actively working on expanding their educational offer and developing new programs for adult learning and education.
Be it an adult education program satisfying the labor market needs and stimulating employment or a holistic program meeting some individual or local community needs, it should be developed based on certain rules and procedures.
DVV International, therefore, this year is organizing a two-module training for partner organizations entitled „Development of Adult Education Curricula“ to improve their already developed competencies in program/curriculum development.
The first training module „Specification of work - the first phase in curricula development“ was held on the 28th and 29th of March 2022. It aimed at training participants to analyze job/occupation as the first step in developing a curriculum for adult education.
After completing the first training module, the participants can:
- understand the structure of the program (curriculum);
- understand the purpose and principles of the task analysis to develop a curriculum based on the labor market needs;
- develop a functional or DACUM map during the task analysis;
- develop a standard of occupation according to a specific structure.
The module was carried out by Ms. Jelena Jakovljević, the expert for adult education curricula development and program director of the Klett EDU center for education and professional training of adults from Belgrade.
The second module will be held on the 10th and 11 of May. It will focus on the three remaining phases of curricula development: specification of learning, learning conditions and evaluation and assessment of achievements.
