As part of the project "Women’s Rights Ambassadors for Empowerment and Change in Bosnia and Herzegovina," funded by the European Union, the first study visit and networking event was held on May 23, 2025, in Sarajevo. The event was attended by 47 women from the Tuzla and Una-Sana Cantons and the Birač region, who had previously successfully completed educational workshops on women's social and economic rights.
During a day filled with learning, exchanging experiences, and inspiring encounters, the participants had the opportunity to:
• Learn about the work of CEI Nahla Sarajevo and hear a powerful message about the power of education and community engagement;
• Hear the personal and motivating story of Erna Šošević – entrepreneur and president of the 787 Foundation;
• Visit the organizations Women for Women International and the Mozaik Foundation, where they gained insight into concrete models of support and empowerment for women.
This study visit was not just a journey to another city but a journey towards self-confidence, connection, and collective strength. It was a gathering of women who, each in their way, are building the foundations of a more equal and just society.
Thank you to all the participants for their enthusiasm and dedication and the partner organizations that opened their doors for this significant event.
