A one-day workshop titled “Project Writing in Adult Education: From Strategy to Implementation” is currently taking place at the premises of the Chamber of Commerce of Sarajevo Canton. It is specifically designed for members of the Adult Education Council.
Organized jointly by DVV International – Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Chamber of Commerce of Sarajevo Canton, the event aims to empower adult education centers with the skills needed to access domestic and international funding more effectively. Although numerous EU and donor funds are available to the education sector, a significant portion remains underutilized due to limited capacity in preparing high-quality project proposals.
Guiding the participants through the workshop is Adnan Mević, fundraiser at DVV International and external consultant for funding at the International Council for Adult Education. Through the interactive sessions he facilitates, attendees are gaining valuable insights and hands-on experience in project development and financing. They have the opportunity to:
- acquire foundational skills in writing project proposals within the context of adult education,
- learn how to develop a project idea and structure an application effectively,
- and collaboratively draft an outline of their project proposal.
This initiative marks an important first step in systematically enhancing the competencies of Council members. With a long-term goal of professionalizing the adult education sector and ensuring more efficient use of available resources, the organizers also invite other adult education centers not yet involved in the Council to join the initiative and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of adult education in Sarajevo Canton.
