DVV International – Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina organized the seventeenth meeting of contact persons for adult education, bringing together representatives of cantonal ministries of education and relevant institutions. The meeting aimed to exchange information, analyze the current situation, and plan activities for the upcoming year.
The meeting was opened by the Director of DVV International – Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dženita Džano, who emphasized the importance of continuous cooperation and joint action in the field of adult education. Following the opening remarks, participants discussed current developments and plans for 2026 by administrative units, including Bosnian-Podrinje Canton Goražde, Sarajevo Canton, Tuzla Canton, Una-Sana Canton, Zenica-Doboj Canton, as well as activities at the state level in cooperation with the Agency for Pre-school, Primary and Secondary Education (APOSO).
Next, Almira Ezić presented the topic “Master Craftsman Exam, Level V in Una-Sana Canton – Challenges and Opportunities,” which opened a discussion on qualification standards and labor market needs. Special focus was placed on the challenges of implementing the master craftsman exam and the opportunities it offers for improving vocational adult education.
The final part of the meeting was dedicated to planning and selecting the regulations to be developed in 2026. Participants defined priorities and outlined concrete steps for the upcoming period to ensure a systematic strengthening of adult education in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The meeting concluded with the adoption of decisions and an agreement on further coordination and cooperation.
This meeting once again confirmed the importance of joint action by all stakeholders in the field of adult education to ensure quality provision and support for lifelong learning.
