DVV International – Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina successfully implemented the first of six modules of the professional development programme for managers of adult education providers – Curriculum ManagerALE – attended by 14 adult education providers from the Una-Sana Canton.
The Curriculum ManagerALE programme has been adapted to the local context of Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with the University of Sarajevo – School of Economics and Business, and is implemented by DVV International in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Una-Sana Canton. The first module, titled “Fundamental Knowledge of Lifelong Learning and Adult Education,” was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Amina Isanović Hadžiomerović from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo. Through intensive work, participants enhanced their knowledge of key topics in adult education through interactive lectures, discussions, and practical exercises.
Special emphasis was placed on a multisectoral approach and the financing of adult education, organisational development and professional ethics, adult participation in learning, the design of educational programmes according to the ADDIE model, methods of working with adult learners and communication processes, as well as the technical and didactic adaptation of content for online and hybrid learning environments.
Contemporary educational trends clearly highlight the need for continuous development of the competencies of educational institution managers. Effective leadership requires competence, and competencies must be continuously enhanced to meet the challenges of modern education. For this reason, DVV International consistently invests in strengthening management capacities in education and in promoting educational management in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
