Our great pleasure is to announce that the Secretary General of the International Council for Adult Education ICAE, Professor Katarina Popović, PhD is coming to Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is even more valuable as the preparation for the CONFINTEA VII global conference on adult education, which is to be held in Morocco in 2022, are underway.
On the 9th and 10th of November, Professor Popović will held a seminar on the topic „Financing adult education – the foundation of education policy“ in Jahorina, for representatives of competent ministries of education, finances and local partnerships in adult education.
Main objective of the seminar is to present various models of financing adult education from the practice of other countries and point to the importance of shared responsibility and involving all relevant institutions in financing the adult education system.
DVV International and the German Institute for Adult Education DIE earlier this year published the study on „Financing adult learning and education – The way forward: What works, how and why?“ whose results will also be presented at the upcoming seminar.
