After signing a service contract for developing an information system ISKOOM with the University of Sarajevo in October 2022, the University Tele-Informatic Center UTIC has prepared a test version for adult education (ALE) providers in Sarajevo Canton.
Twenty-five accredited ALE providers from this canton received user data on Thursday, February 16. During the next month, they will have an opportunity to access the system and test its functionality.
On this occasion, Ms. Lamija Husić, Assistant Minister for Secondary and Adult Education from the Ministry of Education of Sarajevo Canton and Mr. Thomas Lichtenberg, Ph.D. Regional Director for Caucasus and Southeast Europe from DVV International addressed the representatives of ALE providers.
The Information System for Controlling and Monitoring Adult Education ISKOOM has been the first official information system ever developed for adult education and the first digital tool to ease educational process management for ALE providers.
The UTIC center also presented the implemented activities and steps to representatives of competent ministries of education from Una-Sana Canton, Tuzla Canton and Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Goražde. The ALE providers from these three cantons will also be involved in the testing phase in the upcoming period.
Using the information system ISKOOM is a legal obligation in Sarajevo and Una-Sana Canton. All accredited ALE providers will be obliged to keep records of adult learners/participants and issue public certificates through this system once all preconditions are met and the test phase is successfully finished.
