The end of December is a right time for finalizing activities, summarizing achievements, as well as projection of plans for next year. All these activities DVV International - Country Office B&H gladly does in cooperation with representatives of its partner organizations.
On this occasion, DVV International organised a meeting of partner organizations from 20th to 22nd December in Međugorje in which representatives of 23 different organizations/institutions which, together with the Institute, contribute and participate in development of adult education system in B&H, took part.
The meeting was moderated by Prof Dr Lejla Turčilo, Head of Lifelong Learning Center of Faculty of Political Sciences University of Sarajevo, who, for the purpose of better positioning of certain organizations and their programs, as well as of adult education as a whole, prepared a workshop for the participants on the topic „Cooperation with media in promotion of adult education“.
Director of DVV International - Country Office B&H, Dr.sc. Emir Avdagić, presented current situation of adult education in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the biggest challenges and key steps that should be undertaken in the following period. Besides that, activities of DVV International in 2017 have been presented, as well as online platforms of the organization and plans for the year 2018.
The representatives of partner organizations, including ministries of education, pedagogical institutes, APOSO, university and faculties, public educational institutions and civil society organizations, have also presented their activities in 2017.
Within the above mentioned categories of organizations, the participants have done a strategic planning for cooperation in the field of adult education in 2018, and the overall conclusion is that the cooperation should aim to develop the adult education system with the purpose of employment, as well as to raise the quality of life, on both individual and social level.
Besides that, many other conclusions have been reached that will definitely be very helpful for representatives of DVV International, as well as for partner organizations, in planning their work in the field of adult education in the next year.
