Program of andragogical development „Basic Adult Education Training“ has been pronounced publicly recognised in four cantons of the Federation of B&H and Brčko District B&H. Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of Una-Sana Canton prepared and enacted the program in May 2019, and already this year in cooperation with DVV International – Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina organised a training for teachers from this canton.
After five months of the training consisted of 60 teaching hours, 30 hours of individual independent learning, and 30 hours of preparation and realization of a workshop before supervisors, 23 teachers received the publicly recognised Certificate on Andragogical Development.
Participants confirmed the learning outcomes before the supervisors: Prof. Šefika Alibabić, Ph.D. from the Department of Andragogy, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, and Emir Avdagić, Ph.D., director of the DVV International – Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Demonstration and supervision of skills included independently or in pairs prepared ninety-minute workshops on selected topics with the skills acquired at the training. The participants afterward received feedback from the trainers/supervisors.
The supervision was implemented from 3rd to 5th of November in Bihać, and it's the last, fifth module of the andragogical development. Previous four modules were implemented from June to October 2020:
- Module I - Adult learning - psychological basics, characteristics, learning styles
- Module II - Communication, group dynamics, and managing educational group
- Module III - Visualisation and presentation in educational work with adults
- Module IV - Interactive methods of adult education.
Besides the Una-Sana Canton, in 2020, the training was also implemented for teachers from Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Goražde, who will confirm their knowledge and skills in the upcoming period too.
