Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of West Herzegovina Canton enacted the adult education program „Basic Adult Education Training“ in October 2021 to develop the capacities of employees in the field of adult education.
Based on that, DVV International, in 2022, is supporting the implementation of the training program for the first group of participants who will receive publicly recognized certificates on andragogical development after demonstrating adult education competencies.
The first module was organized on the 19th and 20th of September in Ljubuški on the topic „Adult Learning – Psychological Basics, Characteristics, Learning Styles“. Within this module, the participants gain a general knowledge of the adulthood characteristics (psychological, social, emotional and professional maturity) and living and working phases of an adult person. Particular attention is put on the specificities of learning in adult age and basic principles of educational work with adults like orientation towards participants, work individualization, using experiences of adults in education, etc.
The training started with 22 participants, and the following three modules and the supervision will be implemented by December 2022 in line with the Agreement on Cooperation in 2022 signed between DVV International – Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of West Herzegovina Canton.
