On Monday, 10th of October, at the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo, a service contract between DVV International and the University Tele-Informatics Center of the University of Sarajevo (UTIC) was signed to design and develop the information system for adult education ISKOOM.
The contract was signed by Prof. Rifat Škrijelj, Ph.D., the Rector of the University of Sarajevo and Ms. Dženita Džano, the Deputy Director of the DVV International – Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina. The representatives of the Ministry of Education of Sarajevo Canton, Ms. Lamija Husić, the Minister Assistant for Secondary Education and Adult Education and Mr. Burim Adžanel, the Professional Advisor for Informatization, also attended the meeting.
DVV International started developing the information system for controlling and monitoring adult education ISKOOM in 2019 in cooperation with partner ministries of education. Since then, a system prototype has been developed and piloted in Sarajevo Canton to be used as a model based on which the UTIC will develop a modern information system like those already existing in the education field.
The contract foresees the system's design, software and relational database development, analyzing and documenting the current situation, system and network administration services and administrative and technical support of consultants. The total contract value is 35.100,00 KM, and the deadline for the provision of services is 120 calendar days.
The information system will contain modules for four cantons of the Federation of BiH: Una-Sana Canton, Tuzla Canton, Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Goražde and Sarajevo Canton. The first participants will be entered into the system in Una-Sana and Sarajevo Canton at the beginning of 2023 in line with the valid regulation.
The development of the information system ISKOOM is financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ).
