Within the project „New experience for new beginning - Training for caregivers“, the Fenix Center organised a Certificate Award for 23 long-term unemployed persons on 30th of November 2018. The Certificates were awarded by Ms Adisa Hotić, director of the Fenix Center, and Ms Emina Herić, representative of DVV International - Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Fenix Center with the financial and professional support of DVV International in 2018 realised a training for caregivers which included in total 500 classes, whereby 170 theoretical classes, 50 classes of exercise and four-months of practice (280 classes) implemented in partnership with the nursing home „Zlatna jesen“ from Sanski Most and with the support of their employees as mentors.
The importance of implementation of such trainings was specifically emphasized during the Certificate Award, especially in providing employment opportunities for young unemployed persons in order to, on the one side, make them more competitive on the labour market, and on the other side, to secure appropriate care for elderly. Three out of 23 participants have taken up employment already during the training classes what can be considered as an added value proving that the need for this occupation exists, and describing the quality of the implemented training.
